HTA Blended Learning

Hospitality Trainers and Associates (HTA) was formed in 1995 to assist South Africa’s fastest growing Industry (Hospitality, Travel and Tourism) with the skilling, training and development of home-grown chefs.

Today HTA is responsible for the training, assessment, and certification of over a thousand cooks, chefs and caterers per year.

The 3-Year Programme in Professional Cookery and Food and Beverage Services offered by HTA Blended Learning Apprenticeships is internationally recognized and has been setting standards in culinary training since its inception in 2013.

This programme has been developed by HTA in collaboration with the industry – for chefs by chefs and is designed for those with little or no previous experience in the kitchen, allowing students to progress within their comfort zone towards a professional qualification.

The online Chef program is perfect for any hotel and restaurant group for their full-time employed apprentices. These courses run in conjunction with on-job training and skills development with the supervision of an in-house Facilitator.
